Article 2 – Memberships and professional organization

Shiatsu Rotterdam is affiliated with the Dutch Association of Soma Therapists (NVST) and the Register of Complementary Healthcare Practitioners (RBCZ).
The therapist possesses the required medical basic knowledge in accordance with the PLATO standards.

Treatments at Shiatsu Rotterdam may be fully or partially reimbursed depending on the health insurer and the supplementary package. For an overview of reimbursing insurers, see nvst.nl/zorgverzekeraars.
 
Article 3 – Treatment and methodology

  1. Complementary care: Shiatsu is a complementary therapy and not a substitute for conventional medical care.
  2. Intake and treatment agreement: Before treatment begins, an intake interview takes place. The client agrees to the treatment via an oral or written treatment agreement.
  3. Information provision: The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete medical information.
  4. Client file: A file is maintained in accordance with the WGBO. The client has the right to access and correct it.
  5. Termination of treatment: The treatment may be terminated at any time by either the client or the therapist.

 
Article 4 – Rates and payment

  1. Rates are listed on shiatsurotterdam.nl and may be adjusted annually.
  2. Payment is made immediately after the session by debit card. Cash payment is possible.
  3. Shiatsu Rotterdam provides an invoice suitable for reimbursement by the health insurer.

 
Article 5 – Appointments and cancellations

  1. Appointments can be made by phone, by email, or via the website.
  2. Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours in advance. In case of late cancellation or no-show, the full consultation fee will be charged.
  3. Repeated cancellations or rescheduling may lead to termination of the treatment agreement.

 
Article 6 – Liability

  1. Shiatsu Rotterdam is not liable for damages resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client.
  2. The practice is not responsible for loss of or damage to the client’s property.
  3. Shiatsu Rotterdam holds valid professional and business liability insurance.

 
Article 7 – Privacy and data protection

  1. Shiatsu Rotterdam processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  2. The data is used solely for treatment and administrative purposes and will not be shared with third parties without written consent.
  3. The client has the right to access, correct, or delete their data. See the privacy statement on the website.

 
Article 8 – Complaints procedure

  1. Shiatsu Rotterdam strives to provide good care. In case of dissatisfaction, you are requested to discuss this directly first.
  2. If the complaint is not resolved satisfactorily, the client can contact an independent complaints officer via the NVST.
  3. For disputes, Shiatsu Rotterdam is affiliated with the recognized disputes committee via the Stichting Zorggeschil, in accordance with the Wkkgz (Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act).

Article 9 – Applicable law

This agreement is governed by Dutch law. Disputes that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement will be submitted to the competent court in Rotterdam.
