Shiatsu Rotterdam is located on Katendrecht, a peninsula in Rotterdam. Until well into the 1980s, the neighborhood was primarily known as a seamen’s quarter, red-light district, and Chinatown. In recent years, “De Kaap” has transformed from a troubled area into a trendy and desirable neighborhood thanks to large-scale renovations, new developments, and the arrival of charming restaurants, unique shops, and more. With the construction of the Rijnhaven Bridge between the Wilhelminapier and Deliplein, the area is now just a stone’s throw from downtown Rotterdam — easily accessible by bike or on foot.
