After having had a few Shiatsu treatments in the past, I started seeing Louis for regular sessions just over a year ago. Since then, I’ve been getting a treatment about once a month.

Like many people, I spend long, tense days behind a computer for work. I also find it hard to mentally disconnect from my job. I was looking for relaxation and hoped Louis could help loosen up my stiff neck and shoulders. That definitely happened — and on top of that, my posture has improved — but Louis has helped me in many more ways.

During the first session, Louis mentioned he would also work on my hormonal balance. To be honest, I didn’t quite know what to make of that at the time, but now I fully understand what he meant. After a few treatments, the menstrual symptoms I had simply accepted — like cramps, lower back pain, and sore breasts — had practically disappeared.

Louis rarely tells you exactly what he’s treating. Often, I suddenly realize I no longer suffer from a certain issue. For example, I have asthma and tend to breathe shallowly. One afternoon, I noticed I was breathing much deeper — from my belly. I also used to have mild eczema in various places on my body almost constantly, but since starting treatments, it hasn’t returned.

Over the past few months, I’ve noticed that the treatments also help release emotions. I tend to bottle things up, but the sessions help me let go. I’ve also found I can handle work pressure much better. I was surprised to see how calmly I could respond in stressful situations — something that used to be difficult for me.

What I really appreciate about Louis is his down-to-earth approach. The conversations are always enjoyable — often about travel or moving house — yet he also manages to offer wise advice in a light and friendly way. I feel very comfortable with him. The treatments can be quite intense at times, but afterward I always feel warm, relaxed, flexible, and balanced.

I wholeheartedly recommend Louis’s treatments to anyone. For me, they’re not just moments of relaxation — they’re essential maintenance for my body. Even after more than a year, I’m still amazed by how effective they are. It truly feels special.
