Your Privacy<\/strong>
For effective treatment, it is necessary that I, as your treating therapist, maintain a file. This is also a legal obligation imposed by the WGBO. Your file contains notes about your health condition and information about the examinations and treatments performed.<\/p>

The file also includes data necessary for your treatment that I have requested from another healthcare provider\u2014such as your general practitioner\u2014after receiving your explicit consent.<\/p>

We do our best to safeguard your privacy. This means, among other things, that we:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Handle your personal and medical data with care;<\/li>
  • Ensure that unauthorized persons do not have access to your data;<\/li>
  • As your treating therapist, I am the only one with access to the data in your file. I am legally bound by confidentiality (professional secrecy).<\/li><\/ul>


    The data from your file may also be used for the following purposes:<\/strong><\/p>

    • To inform other healthcare providers, for example when therapy has concluded or in case of referral to another practitioner. This is done only with your explicit consent.<\/li>
    • For use during substitution, in my absence;<\/li>
    • Or for anonymized use during peer review;<\/li>
    • A small portion of the data from your file is used for financial administration, so that I or my administrator can prepare an invoice.<\/li><\/ul>

      If I wish to use your data for any other reason, I will first inform you and explicitly request your consent.<\/p>

      This data in the client file is retained for 20 years, as required by the law on treatment agreements.<\/p>

      Privacy on the healthcare invoice
      <\/strong>On the healthcare invoice you receive, the data required by the health insurer is listed so that you can submit the invoice for reimbursement.<\/p>

      • Your name, address, and city of residence<\/li>
      • Your date of birth<\/li>
      • The date of the treatment<\/li>
      • A brief description of the treatment, such as \u2018naturopathic treatment\u2019 or \u2018psychosocial consultation\u2019<\/li>
